Green Quarter completed the design of a 11,760sf transparent sales gallery, meeting the desired elegant plaza outlook while ensuring feasibility and functionality. The building is currently a sales gallery for IJM Corporation Bhd for their ongoing development at Pantai Sentral Park. The use of computational analysis allowed us to deliver an integrated, economical, and most importantly sustainable building design that is comfortable to work in.
To optimize Malaysia’s abundance of daylight without glare and thermal discomfort, daylight modelling was utilised to predict daylight and the appearance of the internal spaces prior to construction. Daylight modelling enables us to:
Design an optimal lighting system that comprises of useable natural lighting and artificial lighting;
Visualise brightness and glare;
Investigate daylight dimming opportunities and quantify energy reductions; and
Produce photo-realistic rendering images based on detailed real-life lighting simulations.
The result is an interior and exterior that is as not only stunning in design, but also sustainable, usable, and visually comfortable. The images below show simulated and actual perspectives.
