Mission Possible
In July, Green Quarter yet again put to action for one of our GQ Values for the month – Efficient Wins!
Mission : Build a Lego car Lego model of Le Mans Peugeot 9X8 Hybrid Hypercar
No. of pieces : 1775 pieces
Deadline : 4 days with 3 separate sessions in a day
Duration : 15 mins per session (had to increase to 30 minutes on the 2nd day!)
Grouping : 3 team members in a group / session
In just four days, our team embarked on a mission to transform 1775 Lego pieces into a moving Lego model of a super hybrid hyper-car. The objective was to achieve efficiency through completing a mission within a team on a tight deadline.
From the onset of the challenge, our team knew that time was of the essence. We brainstormed, strategised, and divided tasks to ensure maximum efficiency. Each member played a crucial role in leveraging their unique strengths to contribute to the overall success.
This challenge not only tested our problem-solving skills, but also fostered a strong sense of collaboration and camaraderie among our team members through open communication, shared ideas, and support given to each other throughout the process. The enthusiasm fueled our determination to create something meaningful in bringing out the essence of “Efficient Wins” value we place an importance on.
The result? An unforgettable experience that showcased the true value of teamwork and thinking on our feet. Furthermore, it was about embracing the spirit of teamwork and pursuing a common goal within a given time frame.
We encountered obstacles and “stuck moments” along the way which required quick thinking and creative solutions, whether to look beyond the imperfections, or stick to the given time. Thankfully our team found ingenious ays to overcome hurdles with the right choices.
We realised that the true value of this experience went beyond just the physical outcome. It was about the skills we developed along the way – collaboration, adaptability, productivity and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
In today’s fast-paced business environment, we need teams that can think on their feet and work seamlessly together. Our mission possible project served as a powerful reminder of the importance of cultivating these values and qualities within Green Quarter where each individual united to pursue a common sustainable goal in the workplace, community and the earth.
We are proud to have this experience as a testament to our commitment to build a culture of efficiency, collaboration and innovation.
